My name is Mikel Miller. I was born in Kingston, Jamaica but I moved here to Philadelphia, PA in the summer of 2016. I’m currently a senior at Muhlenberg College majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Management, and also a minor in Entrepreneurship. I was an intern at the Multicultural Center here on campus, where I’m also a part of 3 different affinity groups–Emerging Leader Association, The Black Student Association, and also the Men of Color Network. I left my interning role at the Multicultural Center my junior year, which allowed me to step into the role of a Tour guide and also an RA at the college. I’ve learned a lot through these experiences about community, college life, student satisfaction, etc.
These experiences also put me in the position to apply for a Management Trainee position at Enterprise Holding, where I currently serve as an intern. Working in the Rental Car division is enhancing my knowledge not only about business management, but also sales, and customer satisfaction. Being part of such a great management program at Muhlenberg has given me the motivation and drive to apply what I’ve learned in the classroom to outside organizations like Enterprise. Taking a number of courses like Marketing, Management, Finance has given me the confidence to do my job well as an intern, which could possibly lead to a full time position after graduation.
